Siracuse

Siracuse band

Viscous psychedelic guitars parade as weapons of mass destruction. Frontman Ben Zakotti has hit a sweet spot vocally, nestling in between Tom Meighan and John McClure – TravellersTunes

SIRACUSE are Ben Zakotti (vocals, guitar), Chris Faice (guitar), John Wilsdon (bass, backing vocals), and Will Hall (drums) from Cheltenham, UK, blending elements of ‘90s Britrock processed through a psychedelic filter. Hints of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, early Kasabian, The Music, and nascent Oasis percolate throughout their debut album, Forever, which brings a classic rock ’n’ roll approach, mixing driving basslines, Jesus and Mary Chainesque guitars, and powerhouse percussion.

SIRACUSE encapsulate deep echoes, delayed guitar lines, and lyrics of escapism and hope. Influenced by shoegaze and that genre’s heavy use of guitar pedals, Forever is atmospheric and dreamlike but with a strong nod to Britrock.

Categorising their music under multiple genres – reverb, shoegaze, indie, and rock nroll SIRACUSE have the potential to have an ever-changing, unique sound, with a huge fan base as a result – GigSlutz One’s To Watch

Atmospheric indie from the South, drawing comparisons as diverse as Editors, Kasabian, and Joy Division – Scruff Of The Neck Records

Forever is full of thrills and no filler, unashamedly proud of its rock nroll influencesThisIsTheMusic
